So depending on what course you are applying for, you may be required to submit an application response. A lot of people have recently asked me what I put in mine to get myself into my course. It can be pretty nerve wracking knowing that piece of writing could make or break getting into the course of your dreams.
So here are a few tips of what I think helped me get into the course of my choice.
1. Be honest – sounds obvious but a lot if people fall into the trap of writing what they think the selectors are looking for rather than their personal response. It’s really obvious when you aren’t being truthful in what your saying and that could back fire for you.
2. Make an impact – there are often hundreds of applications and they all say similar things. You need to make yours stand out. Find a way to make it different and stand out. Make sure your spelling and grammar is perfect! And make your sentences engaging. You need to have them interested from the first sentence.
3. It’s not the be all and end all – it you don’t get in this time there is always next year and there are always are other avenues to get in. If your genuinely passionate and committed to achieving something, it is possible.
And with that I leave you for now. I have some serious study to do for an exam tomorrow. But I have one more video to come to sum up the uni year
Enjoy and good luck
Well, that’s all folks. It’s only three more exams and then this year’s all finished up for me. I’ve had an amazing time here and been very lucky in a lot of ways. Thanks to everyone who helped me in 2013 and all the best for people starting their university endeavors in the new year. Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to over the last few months.
Thanks to everyone who’s regularly viewed the blogs by myself and the rest of the team, and I hope you enjoy the last installment.
This has been an amazing year and i cant thank everyone who was involved enough! I made a tonne of amazing friends and had many fun and challenging experiences and i wouldn’t change a thing! I would do it all again in a heartbeat!
For those who are going to Uni next year, this is what you have to look forward to!!! Enjoy guys!! :)
So we all know scholarships, deferring, PREP and campus tours are all worthwhile topics that need to be discussed… But I honestly believe that the most important topic of all is… Who is the CSU Stud? Ladies & Gentlemen… I give you CSU STUD!
So another one of those great things about independence is being able to jump in the car and head over to the ACT to see the Cat Empire live on their world tour. I didn’t take any footage of them performing (I decided to enjoy myself rather than watch the night through the screen of my camera) but I did get lots of footage of the drive. Just goes to show there are a lot of perks to uni, and some of them are the people you get to spend time with.
